Seeking New Board of Directors

Both Worlds Theatre’s mission is to engage, inspire, entertain and challenge audiences with theatrical productions that range from published to new works; we seek to lift queer and other marginalized voices to show that we are all part of the human race. We celebrate the essential magic of the theatre to illuminate our common humanity.

Both Worlds Theatre is currently accepting applicatons to join the Board of Directors. We are in a period of growth and seek to increase our organizational budget to develop programming for the long-term success of Both Worlds Theatre. We are seeking leaders who support the mission, vision and values of Both Worlds Theatre. Board members work together addressing topics that include finances, board development and growth and fund raising. Board members work toward increasing Both Worlds finances, resources and achieving fundraising goals in order to contiue our service to the community. We are particularly interested in individuals with developement experience and/or a familarity with developing donor strategies and pipelines, including identification, research, cultivation and stewardship.

Responsibilities of the board include the following :

  • Attend monthly board meetings

  • Participate in fundrasing initatives

  • Attend events (2-3 per year)

  • Provide financial support to Both Worlds Theatre annually.

We seek candidates with :

  • A strong commitment to the mission of Both Worlds Theatre

  • Availability and willingness to commit to monthy board meeting attendance plus meeting preparation and follow up by phone and email.

  • Experience in either fundraising or accounting.

  • Following your submission, prospective candidates will meet with two of our Artistic Board members to finalize potential candidacy.
